Police Conduct Security Assessments at Key Government Premises

Police Conduct Security Assessments at Key Government Premises

The Zambia Police Service, together with other security agencies, is conducting security risk assessments at selected key Government premises across the country.

The exercise is intelligence-led and preventive, aimed at identifying security vulnerabilities and strengthening the protection of Government institutions, public officers and members of the public accessing the premises.

Police Inspector General Graphel Musamba says the assessments are being conducted at selected premises under the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security, National Prosecution Authority, Attorney General’s Chambers and other Government institutions. He says the exercise is not targeting any individual or group but is part of measures to enhance public safety.
