SEAN TEMBO RETIRES FROM ACTIVE POLITICS

Patriots for Economic Progress (PeP) founder Sean Tembo has announced his retirement from active politics with immediate effect. Tembo says the decision follows careful consideration and extensive consultations with family and friends.

The announcement comes exactly 10 years after he founded PeP. Although he did not succeed in being elected to public office during his political career, Tembo says he is proud of his contributions, particularly the annual PeP Alternative National Budgets and his involvement in political cases before the High Court and Constitutional Court of Zambia.

Tembo has thanked the friends, acquaintances and supporters who stood by him throughout his political career. As he transitions to private life, he says he will continue praying for God to bless Zambia and its people.
