MUWANJUNI PRIMARY SCHOOL ABLUTION BLOCK COMMISSIONED IN KATUBA CONSTITUENCY
Katuba Constituency In a significant boost to sanitation infrastructure, the Mwanjuni Primary School Ablution Block was officially commissioned on Wednesday, 25th September 2025.
The commissioning ceremony was graced by the Central Province Minister and Katuba Member of Parliament, Honourable Mwabashike Nkulukusa. The project, implemented under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), was completed at a total cost of K400,000.
Also present at the event were the Chibombo Town Council Chairperson, Mr Newton Nyeleti, Council Secretary, Mrs Grace Kanyata, Chibombo Ward Councillor, Cllr Mundemba Sibanda, as well as other Councillors from Katuba Constituency. Their presence underscored the collective commitment by both national and local leadership towards improving infrastructure in rural communities.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Nkulukusa expressed satisfaction with the completion of the project, noting that improved sanitation facilities in schools are key to promoting good health, dignity, and academic performance among pupils.
“This facility will not only enhance hygiene but also contribute to a conducive learning environment, particularly for our girl children,” he said.
The Mwanjuni Primary School Ablution Block is one of the many projects being implemented under the CDF to uplift education and health standards across the constituency. Community members and school authorities welcomed the development, describing it as timely and impactful.
