Ministry of Health Launches Round Two Polio Vaccination Campaign

The Ministry of Health, in partnership with cooperating partners, will conduct the second round of the Polio Vaccination Campaign from 2nd to 5th June 2026 in six provinces across the country.

The campaign will be conducted in Central, Eastern, Lusaka, Muchinga, Southern, and Western provinces as part of continued efforts to protect children from polio and prevent the spread of the disease.

Health authorities have urged all parents and guardians to ensure that children under the age of five are vaccinated during the campaign period. Officials say the vaccine is safe, effective, and critical in safeguarding children against the life-threatening disease.

The Ministry has further encouraged communities to cooperate with health workers who will be administering the vaccines in health facilities and designated outreach points throughout the targeted provinces.
