LCC COMPLETES TWIN PALM ROAD BED PREPARATION, BITUMEN LAYING NEXT

The Lusaka City Council (LCC) has completed road bed preparation works on Twin Palm Road, with bitumen laying expected to commence soon. Public Relations Manager Chola Mwamba said the completed works included grading, compacting and base laying to provide a strong foundation for the rehabilitated road.

Ms. Mwamba said Twin Palm Road is among the roads being upgraded under the 40.1-kilometre Road Rehabilitation Programme and will be expanded from a single to a dual carriageway from Lake Road Junction to Zambia Air Force (ZAF) Twin Palm. She said the project is expected to be completed in September 2026.

She added that the Council remains committed to delivering quality road infrastructure and has urged motorists to observe traffic diversions as rehabilitation works continue.
