LCC COMPLETES DRAINAGE WORKS AND ROAD REPAIRS ON THABO MBEKI ROAD.
The Lusaka City Council has completed the installation of a cross culvert and pothole patching works along Thabo Mbeki Road in a move aimed at improving drainage and road safety.
According to the Council, the intervention was undertaken to address flooding on the affected stretch and strengthen the durability of the roadway. The newly installed cross culvert will help channel storm water into the designated drainage system, preventing water from accumulating and damaging the road surface.
In addition, the patching of potholes is expected to provide a smoother driving experience and enhance safety for motorists and other road users. The road has since been reopened to the public, with the Council urging drivers to exercise caution when using the route.
The Lusaka City Council reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining and upgrading the city’s road network to ensure safe, efficient and resilient infrastructure for residents.
