Kabwe Warriors Mourn Club Legend Sebastian Ngungu
Kabwe Warriors Football Club is mourning the passing of club legend Sebastian Ngungu, who died in the early hours of today following an illness. The club described Ngungu as one of its enduring legends and a player who represented the grit and pride of the Railmen during the club’s golden years.
Ngungu emerged on the Kabwe football scene in the late 1960s, when Kabwe Warriors were among Zambia’s dominant football clubs. He played a key role in the club’s trophy success between 1970 and 1987, spending most of his career with Kabwe Warriors and earning a lasting place in the club’s history.
Kabwe Warriors says Ngungu’s contribution to the club will continue to be remembered by generations of supporters. “Sebastian Ngungu is remembered as one of Kabwe Warriors’ enduring legends,” the club said, as it conveyed its condolences to his family, friends and the wider football community.
