Put Politics Aside, focus On Development, Ngoma Urges.
Mr Ngoma said leaders should now concentrate on addressing the challenges facing the people and delivering on the promises they made to the electorate.
He told Breeze FM in Chipata that the people of Chipata North were well represented and that no one would be left behind in the development process.
“I will work with councillors, the mayor, and other stakeholders who mean well for the constituency to address the challenges facing residents,” Mr Ngoma said.
Mr Ngoma also pledged to realign the constituency with Government policies, saying all leaders would bear part of the responsibility if Government failed to deliver because they were part and parcel of the Government.
Meanwhile, United Party for National Development (UPND) Eastern Province Youth Chairperson Lyson Nyirenda welcomed the reappointment of Finance Minister Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane.
Mr Nyirenda said the party was also happy with appointments made by the Head of State, including the nomination of Noel Nkoma to Parliament.
“We welcome the appointments made by the President. We know Dr Musokotwane will help the President deliver his campaign promises, as he has always done,” he said.
And Kapata Ward Councillor Mathews Kachali assured residents that he would work with the Member of Parliament to follow Government policies while separating politics from development.
