HEALTH MINISTER DEMANDS FULL REPORT ON DRUGS AND FACILITIES.
Health Minister Dr. Alex Katakwe has directed provincial health authorities to submit detailed reports on the status of medicines, infrastructure, staffing and logistics in health facilities across the country following a high-level meeting in Lusaka.
The reports will outline drug availability, non-operational health facilities, staffing levels and the condition of transport such as ambulances, amid growing concern over patients being forced to buy medicines from private pharmacies.
The directive is aimed at guiding urgent interventions in the health sector, with a focus on improving coordination, strengthening accountability and ensuring better access to quality healthcare services nationwide.
