GOVT LAUNCHES NATIONAL MUSEUMS POLICY, UNVEILS NEW LOGO.

Tourism Minister Rodney Sikumba has launched Zambia’s first National Museums Policy and unveiled a new corporate identity for the National Museums Board, marking a major step in strengthening the country’s heritage sector.

The new policy provides a framework to guide the development and modernization of museums, while the logo reflects Zambia’s cultural identity through symbols of heritage, knowledge and tradition aimed at promoting tourism and preservation.

Government says the initiative will support economic growth, job creation and cultural promotion, with calls for stronger partnerships and increased public participation in preserving the country’s heritage.
