HEADMAN AMONG 11 ARRESTED IN SENANGA FOR ALLEGEDLY SECRETLY BURYING THREE MURDER VICTIMS.

Eleven people, including a headman, have been arrested in Senanga District for allegedly secretly burying three men suspected to have been murdered.

Western Province Police Commanding Officer Rae Hamoonga said the suspects are believed to have concealed the deaths of the three men between January and February this year and buried their bodies without reporting the incidents to police. Preliminary investigations indicate the victims were allegedly shot with locally made firearms.

Mr. Hamoonga named eight suspects linked to the alleged murder and secret burial of Mubita Anoka, including headman Kalaluka Muswa, 40, and three suspects linked to the case of Teddy Lufunda.

Investigations into the third victim, Richard Sichaliso, are ongoing. Police have visited and marked the burial sites in preparation for exhumation and further forensic examination.
