Government Allocates K146 Million for Completion of Chasefu Boarding School

A total of K146.1 million has been allocated by the Government to facilitate the completion of Chasefu Boarding Secondary School in Eastern Province.
This funding is part of a broader K428.4 million package aimed at finalizing construction projects for several schools across the region.
Eastern Province Education Officer Brainley Malambo confirmed that the contractor has mobilized on site and that the school is expected to be completed by May of next year.
Speaking during a visit to the project site, Mr. Malambo highlighted the significance of the development for the district.
Meanwhile,Chasefu Member of Parliament Misheck Nyambose acknowledged the frustration caused by earlier delays but expressed optimism, noting visible progress in the area’s infrastructure.
And Council Chairperson Chimwemwe Banda called on the Education Office to convey appreciation to the President for the support.
District Commissioner Jimmy Phiri also urges local residents to maintain strong cooperation with the Government in advancing development initiatives.
