CHINA COPPER MINE INVEST $3 MILLION IN KUMBELE PROJECT.

China copper mine has announced plans to invest three million United States dollars into its sister company, the Kumbele Copper Project in Chingola, in a move aimed at boosting copper production and employment in the area.

Company Commercial Manager Yifeng Xu says the project is expected to produce up to 20,000 tonnes of copper at full capacity and create approximately 2,000 jobs for local people. Mr. Xu disclosed this during the handover of a rehabilitated ablution block at Chiwempala Market, highlighting the company’s commitment to community development.

Meanwhile, Chigola Member of Parliament Chipoka Mulenga has thanked China Copper Mine for its support towards traders, stating that government remains committed to rebuilding the gutted Chiwempala Market to modern standards. Mr. Mulenga has further appealed to other stakeholders to come on board and contribute to the reconstruction efforts.
