Yellowstripes Resources Zambia invests $10 million in

YELLOWSTRIPES Resources Zambia Limited has invested US$10 million in
the steel manufacturing plant at Chambishi Multifacility Economic
Zone(MFEZ) which will be commissioned before the end of the year.

Chief executive officer Sam Singh said the steel manufacturing
company invested more than $10 million to put up a steel plant at
Chamishi MFEZ which will attain full production by October this year.

"We are set to start production of various steel products by October
this year ,as you can see we are almost finalising putting up the
plant ," Mr Singh said.

He said this in an interview from Chambishi last week that the the plant
would have a capacity to produce about 3000 ,tonnes of steel.

Mr Singh said more than 100 locals had employed during the
construction phase and that the number could even reach 200 once the
plant is fully functional.

"We have engaged about 100 locals, it is job on training here ,they
are not professionals but we identified their talents and position
them in deferent fields and most of the materials for the construction
are being manufactured right here," he said.

Mr Singh said the company had installed a mini-manufacturing plant to
produce construction materials right at the plant to avoid a situation
where the company started waiting for materials which he said could
take a while.

"Even nuts and bolts are being manufactured right here ,what we did
was first put up a plant where all the construction materials are
being produced and using the same staff we have trained here," he
said.

Mr Singh said most of the steel would be supplied to the surrounding
mining industries.
