Zambia Revenue Authority Welcomes 2024/25 Cohort Of Management Trainees To Strengthen Tax Administration.

The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has welcomed its 2024/25 cohort of management trainees, marking a key step in strengthening tax administration and revenue collection.
ZRA Commissioner General Dingani Banda urged the new recruits to embrace their roles with dedication, recognizing their importance in driving Zambia’s economic development and fiscal stability.
He emphasized that ZRA's role in funding 71.7% of the national budget this year underscores the government's commitment to domestic resource mobilization, reducing reliance on borrowing and donor aid.
Speaking at the ZRA Training Centre on February 12th, 2025, Mr. Banda outlined the Management Trainee Program, which equips fresh graduates with specialized skills and expertise for a successful career in tax administration.
The 60 new trainees, consisting of 34 females and 26 males, will undergo comprehensive technical programs in the Domestic Taxes and Customs Services Divisions on a rotational basis.
He also pointed out the importance of upholding integrity and professionalism, urging trainees to integrate these values into their work.
The two-year program combines technical expertise with leadership training, preparing trainees to become future leaders in tax administration.
Mr. Banda expressed confidence that their contributions would leave a lasting impact on Zambia’s continued growth and prosperity.
