World Public Assembly to Present First-Ever “For Service to Humanity” Award

The World Public Assembly has announced that it will present the first-ever “For Service to Humanity” Award during a special ceremony on September 21, 2025, coinciding with the International Day of Peace.
Established by the World Peoples Assembly, the prestigious award recognizes exceptional contributions to peace, humanitarian cooperation, and selfless service to humanity. It also seeks to honor those driving public diplomacy, international collaboration, and intercultural dialogue.
“In establishing the Award, we consider the enormous potential of public diplomacy and the leaders who promote unity, friendship, and harmony around the world,” said Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly. “Their work is an example of service to humanity. Today, such examples are especially needed to inspire and continue this work, despite the difficulties and obstacles that arise. The award is a way to support these people and tell the world about their selfless devotion to peace.”
According to the Assembly, public and political figures, as well as leaders in science, culture, and education, will be among those honored for their outstanding contributions to building trust and fostering unity between nations.
The names of the first five laureates will be revealed shortly before the ceremony. Final selections will be made by the World Peoples Assembly Council and approved by the Secretary-General.
This award marks a significant milestone for the Assembly as it continues to highlight and celebrate individuals whose actions foster global unity and humanitarian values.
