Use Small Value Coins

The Mazabuka District Business Association (DBA) has called on members of the public and traders in the district to accept and use small value coins.
DBA Chairperson John Kasonde says that it is illegal to reject small value coins as they are legal tender.
He has observed that there is ignorance among some members of the public and asked the Bank of Zambia (BOZ) to educate members of the public massively on the use of money especially small value coins.
Some members of the public and traders refuse to accept or use small value coins of ten and five ngwee claiming it is difficulty to use them.
