President Hichilema, Praises Catholic Church For Boosting Development.
Zanis reports that president Hichilema thanked the Church for promoting freedom of worship while encouraging the faithful to always be appreciative for the spiritual growth.
The head of state also applauded the role the church plays in improving, economic growth through evangelisation of the word in the community and in areas such as education, health and society services.
Additionally President Hichilema urged the church to persist on it's pastoral gesture and pledged to support the church 's farm projects, appreciating their efforts and contribution to the county's food basket .
"We would like to thank the church and community for allowing us to pray together we are honoured for this gesture ," President Hichilema said.
He further encouraged the Church to continue on it's peace mission to the country, stating the government will remain committed in collaborating with the church in various sector of the economy.
Meanwhile Archdiocese of Ndola vicar General Lewis Mutachila, encouraged to keep peace and remain God's children regardless of the challenges one might be facing.
Father Mutachila also emphasised that everyone has a mandate to cultivate peace, love and care in the nation, saying that the evil only comes to disturb and cause commotion in the county.
"Only God is worthy worship, things of the world will never satisfy but Jesus will, " Father Mutachila said.
Father Mutachila further encouraged, the Christian faithful against abusing their power but rather uses the God given gifts ,to help build Christianity in the nation.
"Say no to appetites of the world, be original that's how the church will develop, " He said.
The Victar General has since encouraged the Christian faithful to go back to God ,worship him fully, pray for another especially during this cyclical season being observed in the Catholic Church.
The president who is on the Copperbelt province, for a one day official visit is expectact to interact with students from 20 higher learning institutions before concluding his immersion in the province.
