Kabwe Police Officer Arrested for Allegedly Sodomizing His 13-Year-Old Nephew

A 55-year-old police officer of Kabwe, identified as Sammy Jere, has been arrested by police in Lusaka for allegedly sodomising his 13-year-old nephew whom he would force to watch porn videos with him.

The suspect, identified as Sammy Jere, had insisted that the victim visit him in Kabwe, Zambia, where he lives with three other male relatives. The incident allegedly happened in Kabwe between December last year and January this year.

Zambia Police Service spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi said the suspect is in police custody awaiting court appearance for the offence of unnatural offences. Mr. Chilabi said the matter was reported to Chawama Police Station by the boy’s relative.

“The incident allegedly happened in Kabwe between December last year and January this year. Our officers are currently on the ground in Kabwe. I will be able to issue a comprehensive report once the officers conclude their investigations,” Mr. Chilabi said.

The suspect remains in custody as police on the ground in Kabwe conclude their investigations.
