NO ONE IS BLAMED OVER LEAKAGES YET - MOGE PS

PERMANENT Secretary for Administration in the ministry of general education Felix Phiri has said no one is to be blamed yet within the ministry or among education stake holders for the suspension of grade 9 examinations following the online examinations leakages. Dr. Phiri said this when he was featured on the Sunday interview program on ZNBC TV 1 on 4th November,2018. He said the ministry has all the information with regard to the people involved in the examination malpractices but declined to disclose them for fear of jeopardizing investigations currently underway.

Dr. Phiri further said the ministry will take appropriate measures on the officers involved in the scandal as soon as investigations are concluded.

Dr. Phiri has also urged members of the community to work together with the Ministry of General Education to arrest the examination malpractice practices. Dr. Phiri also said that it is true as the minister said in his ministerial statement in Parliament that 77 examination centers tempered with the examination papers country wide.

Dr. Phiri said monitoring and evaluations are some of the measures attached to the resumptions of the examinations.

“However, the ministry will continue exploring other avenues in the administrations of examinations to fight and win examination malpractices fight,” Dr. Phiri said.
