Malawian Vice President to Attend Zambia’s N’Cwala Ceremony

Malawi’s Vice President, Dr. Jane Ansah, is set to attend Zambia’s prestigious N’Cwala ceremony on February 28, 2026.

A Malawian delegation, led by Zambia’s High Commissioner to Malawi, Col Panji Kaunda, toured key locations including Laweni and the Mutenguleni arena to assess preparations. Col Kaunda told the media, “We are here to ensure that everything is in place for the Vice President’s visit.”

The ceremony is expected to attract several high-profile guests, including traditional leaders from South Africa and Zimbabwe, as well as representatives from countries such as the United Kingdom, China, Tanzania, and India. Eastern Province Principal Public Relations Officer Alphareenson Sinalungu noted, “The large turnout reflects Zambia’s strong foreign policies and cultural exchange initiatives, spearheaded by President Hakainde Hichilema.”
