GOVERNMENT READY TO SUPPORT REPATRIATION OF ABEL MWANSA JUNIOR

Zambian Government has expressed readiness to support the repatriation of the remains of 12-year-old Abel Mwansa Junior, who was recently killed in a shooting incident at a school in Tumbler Ridge, Canada.

Mulambo Haimbe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said Government stands prepared to assist once the family formally requests support.

“Government is ready to render the necessary support in the repatriation of Abel Mwansa Junior’s remains once the family engages us formally,” Mr. Haimbe said.

The Minister conveyed Government’s condolences to the bereaved family and described the incident as tragic and deeply saddening.

Mr. Haimbe also called on members of the Zambian community living in Canada to offer moral and emotional support to the Mwansa family during this difficult period.

“We urge all Zambians in Canada to stand with the Mwansa family and provide the moral support they need at this time of grief,” he said.

The 12-year-old was among victims of the recent shooting in Tumbler Ridge, an incident that has drawn international attention and left families and communities in mourning.
