Louis van Gaal tells Manchester United to make £25m Strootman bid

Louis van Gaal has told Manchester United to bid £25 million for Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman, according to The Express.
Strootman, who is currently out with a long term injury, is likely to miss the opening stages of next season, however that hasn't put his national coach off from bringing him to Old Trafford.
Italian outfit Roma are desperate to keep Strootman at the club, however it appears that Van Gaal is desperate to bring him to The Theatre of Dreams.
Reports have suggested that Strootman would love to join Manchester United in the up coming transfer window, in a move that would see him play alongside international teammate Robin van Persie.
Before his injury, the 24-year-old was in fine form for his club and would be a welcome addition to Manchester United's midfield.
The Red Devils have struggled in the middle of the park in recent time, with the likes of Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley and Marouane Fellaini struggling for form.
It's expected to be a busy summer at Manchester United, and Van Gaal will be hoping the club can secure the services of some of their top targets in the near future.
