LCC COMPLETES OVER 150KM OF ROADS UNDER CDF

The Lusaka City Council (LCC) says it has completed more than 150 kilometres of road infrastructure across the city between 2022 and 2026 using the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). The Council says the projects have improved accessibility and connectivity to residential areas, public institutions and commercial centres, making it easier for people, goods and services to move efficiently.

LCC Public Relations Manager Ms. Chola Mwamba said the Council has also constructed 5 kilometres of drainage infrastructure to improve stormwater management and protect roads from erosion. She added that four bridges have been built to provide safer and more reliable access to schools, health facilities, markets and other essential services.

Ms. Mwamba said the projects demonstrate the impact of the CDF in driving community development and improving the quality of life for Lusaka residents. She said the Council remains committed to using CDF resources prudently, transparently and efficiently to deliver sustainable infrastructure and better service delivery across the city.
