ICU Joins Russian House in Lusaka for Cosmonautics Day Celebration at Lusaka National Museum.

The Information and Communications University (ICU) students and staff, along with other institutions, came together with the Russian House in Lusaka to mark Cosmonautics Day at the Lusaka National Museum. The event showcased the pioneering Russian film "CHALLENGE," known as the world's first feature film with scenes filmed in space by skilled cinematographers.
The atmosphere was electric as attendees, including over 70 Zambian youths, filled the halls of the Lusaka National Museum with applause during key moments of the film. The event also featured the engaging Russian initiative "Space Dictation," where participants listened to a text crafted by Russian intellectual Anatoly Wasserman and selected correct answers from multiple options.
Excitement filled the air as attendees had the chance to explore the photo exhibition "Our Gagarin: The First Cosmonaut of the Earth," curated at the Lusaka National Museum. Guided by members of the Russian House team, participants delved into the remarkable achievements of Soviet and Russian science in the field of cosmonautics.
As the event concluded, it left a lasting impact on the Zambian youths, fostering a greater appreciation for space exploration and cultural exchange. Through events like these, hosted collaboratively by the Lusaka National Museum and the Russian House in Lusaka, young minds are inspired to explore the wonders of the cosmos and embrace the spirit of curiosity and discovery.
