Get rid of religious myths and political beliefs – DC
Government has called on Kasempa residents to get rid of all religious myths and political beliefs that they have associated to the electronic voucher system.
Speaking in an intervew Kasempa district commissioner Goodson Sansankuwa advised farmers to stop associating religious myths and political beliefs to the E-voucher system in order to benefit from the program.
Mr. Sansankuwa said that instead of criticizing the e-voucher system people should position themselves to benefit from the program as it has shown its positive side and beneficial effects to the farmers.
He further called on farmers to embrace the e-voucher system and benefit from the program as it is advantageous to a small scale farmer.
Mr. Sansankuwa also disclosed that more than 80 percent of the people who successfully registered under the e-voucher system benefited from the program last farming season.
He noted that under the e-voucher system farmers received their farming inputs on time and had a wide range of preference on input selection.
Furthermore Mr. Sansankuwa said that farmers received more farming inputs in terms of quality and quantity under the e-voucher system as opposed to the conventional system.
