DUBAI RESIDENT KILLED AS MISSILE AND DRONE ATTACKS ESCALATE ACROSS THE MIDDLE EAST.

A resident of Dubai has been killed after being struck by falling shrapnel from what officials in the United Arab Emirates described as an aerial interception.

Authorities say the incident occurred as regional tensions escalated, with both Qatar and the United Arab Emirates reporting attacks involving missiles and drones on Saturday. Saudi Arabia also confirmed that a missile was launched towards one of its military bases.

Earlier in the day, Iran’s President apologised to neighbouring countries and stated that Tehran would not target them unless it was attacked first.

However, Iran’s Foreign Minister later said the country’s willingness to de-escalate tensions had been “almost immediately killed” following remarks by President Donald Trump. President Donald Trump has since claimed that Iran had “surrendered” to its neighbours and warned that the United States would strike the country “very hard” if necessary.

Meanwhile, Israel has issued evacuation warnings to residents in the southern suburbs of Beirut as it continues operations targeting the Iran-backed Hezbollah group.

At the same time, the BBC has learned that the United Kingdom’s aircraft carrier, HMS Prince of Wales, has been placed on advanced readiness amid growing concerns over the situation in the region.
