Bishop Mulandu Opens Yusufu Radio News Writing And Reporting Training Workshop.

YUSUFU RADIO has launched a five-day in-house training workshop focused on basic news writing and reporting, which began today, March 17th, and will run through March 21st, 2025.

The workshop is being led by Mrs. Mirriam Zimba, a lecturer from the Information Communication University, with the goal of enhancing the news writing and reporting skills of YUSUFU RADIO’s staff.

Rt. Rev. Edwin Mwansa Mulandu, the Bishop of Mpika Diocese and proprietor of YUSUFU RADIO, officially opened the workshop. During the opening ceremony, Bishop Mulandu welcomed the participants and underscored the value of in-house training.

“This training allows us to focus on the specific needs and dynamics of our organization, ensuring that what we learn is directly applicable to the work we do every day,” said Bishop Mulandu. “It is a great opportunity to foster strong internal collaboration, exchange ideas, and develop skills that will immediately enhance our day-to-day operations.”

Bishop Mulandu further emphasized that this training is vital for all staff members, as it will help them improve their professional capabilities and, ultimately, provide high-quality content to their listeners.

He also took the opportunity to express his appreciation to Mrs. Zimba for her commitment to advancing the skills of the station’s team. “As we embark on this training, it is essential to remember the critical legal and ethical responsibilities that come with our role as broadcasters,” he noted. “As a community and religious radio station, YUSUFU RADIO holds a special place in the hearts of our listeners.”

In closing, Bishop Mulandu encouraged all participants to engage fully with the training by asking questions, sharing insights, and contributing to discussions throughout the workshop.
