Autopsy Confirms Disturbing Details In Kamwala South Teen’s Murder

LUSAKA - A postmortem report has confirmed that 16-year-old Blessed Meleki, who was found lifeless in Kamwala South last Thursday, endured severe trauma before her tragic death.

The report reveals that the teenager was raped multiple times before being murdered. Her windpipe was broken, and her throat bore signs of force, while part of her hair was shaved. Authorities also discovered three used condoms at the scene, furthering suspicions of a premeditated crime.

Blessed was last seen on March 6, 2025, when she was sent to a nearby shop but never returned. Her body was discovered by schoolboys near Luckson Mapushi Police Post, just 500 meters from her home.

Her grieving family, joined by friends and neighbors, laid her to rest at Leopards Hill Memorial Park after a church service at Restoration Ministries in Libala.

Meanwhile, police continue investigations, urging anyone with information to come forward. The community remains on edge as authorities work tirelessly to bring the perpetrators to justice.
