ZNS Commandant Urges for Continued Cooperation between Zambia and Malawi Defence Forces

ZAMBIA National Service Commandant Lieutenant General Nathan Mulenga says increased collaboration between the Defence Forces of Zambia and Malawi will continue to foster peace and stability.

Lieutenant General Mulenga says the defence forces in the two countries have over the years remained united with several areas of cooperation which have ultimately contributed to the promotion of unity and peace in the region.

First Secretary for Press in Lilongwe Chansa Kabwela says Lieutenant General made the remarks when he paid a courtesy call on Zambia’s High Commissioner to Malawi Mrs. Salome Mwananshiku in Lilongwe.

Ms. Kabwela says Lieutenant General is in Malawi on an exchange visit at the invitation of the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) Commander Major General Ignacio Maulana.

Lieutenant General Mulenga says his bilateral engagement with the MDF will focus on training and increased cooperation between the defence forces in the two countries, among other pertinent issues.

And High Commissioner Mwananshiku says the Mission will continue to work towards strengthening further the relations between the two countries for the betterment of the people.
