Four Arrested Over Murder of South African Boxing Champion Zolani Tete

Four people have been arrested in South Africa in connection with the murder of former boxing champion Zolani Tete, who was shot dead outside his home in the Eastern Cape.

Tete, 38, was attacked in Mdantsane while sitting in his vehicle waiting for his gate to open. A 27-year-old woman who was with him was also shot and is receiving medical attention.

One suspect is expected to appear in court facing murder and attempted murder charges, while the other three are expected to appear later on charges including unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. Tete was a former WBO bantamweight and IBF super-flyweight champion.
