Zambia Congress of Trade Unions Condemns Tribal Politics, Calls for Unity and Decent Work for All

ZCTU President Blake Mulala stated that tribal divisions have never worked in Zambia and undermine the nation’s unity during the 2025 World Day for Decent Work commemoration.
The Labour Movement advocates for a democracy that delivers decent work for all citizens, regardless of tribe or background. Mulala reaffirmed the Zambian people’s commitment to the “One Zambia, One Nation” motto, emphasizing the need for unity.
Labour and Social Security Minister Brenda Tambatamba said the UPND administration is committed to ensuring dignified, secure, and decent work for all citizens. She added that workplaces must be governed by the rule of law, which is essential to advancing the decent work agenda.
