VEEP, AGRA PRESIDENT PUSH FOR NUTRITION IN ZAMBIA’S AGRICULTURE.

Vice President W.K. Mutale Nalumango met with Ms Alice Ruhweza, President of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa, to discuss strengthening Zambia’s agriculture with a focus on nutrition.

Dr. Nalumango highlighted priorities like sustainable farming, food security, and climate-smart agriculture, while Ms. Ruhweza shared AGRA’s 20-year efforts on seed development, promoting nutrient-rich foods, and supporting women and youth farmers.

The meeting follows a host agreement between AGRA and Zambia to boost partnerships, agricultural growth, and nutrition initiatives. 

Both leaders stressed that collaboration is key to building resilient food systems and achieving sustainable development in Zambia.
