US President, Barack Obama, officially declares war on ISIS: Speaking Wednesday night, American President Barack Obama addressed the American people saying that, “We will not rest or falter until the threat has been silenced and put to rest..” He said this at the White House after a long meditation on whether or not to step in and step up the game against the oppressors and terrorists.
Yesterday, according to CNN and BBC, it was announced that Obama has called for a ‘Broader Coalition’ that already includes Canada, South Korea, New Zealand, Japan, and Australia. The president aims at the degradation and destruction of ISIL by all means necessary and has hereby enhanced the number military force, especially military airstrike teams, specifically for this purpose.
Meanwhile, the Syrian government expressed that any offense on the part of the US to attack ISIL without its consenting involvement will mean an offensive move on Syria. But it is ready to cooperate with the United States if it gets to be approached or invited and no sidelined. Syria seems to believe that no nation can handle ISIL singlehandedly.
