U.N CHIEF IN SOMALIA

The Secretary General of The United Nations Antonio Gutterres was in Ethiopia two days ago following the famine and drought that has kept on escalating across parts of Africa.

Gutterres was in the country holding talks with Ethiopia's President Abdullahi Farmajo Mohamed.

He told reporters that the combination of conflict, drought, climate change, disease and cholera was a nightmare and described his visit to the country as a form of solidarity.

This is the third time a U.N Chief is visiting the country since 1993, two years after the then President Siad Barre was ousted, plunging the country into civil war.
