Round Table "heirs Of Russian Military Glory" Honors Heroes And Preserves History

The round table "Heirs of Russian Military Glory" was held at the Moscow House of Nationalities (MHD) and via video conference, bringing together participants of the Special Military Operation (SMO), scholars, cultural figures, and representatives of public organizations. The event was organized by the Commission on Public Security and People’s Diplomacy of the Council for Nationalities under the Government of Moscow.

A Platform for Honoring Heroes

The session, moderated by Alexander Fyodorovich Berdnikov, Chairman of the Commission on Public Security and People’s Diplomacy, was dedicated to the memory of SMO heroes and the preservation of military traditions. Berdnikov highlighted that the discussion preceded the opening of the exhibition "Officers – Kremlin Cadets – Heroes of the SMO" at the Moscow Higher Combined Arms Command School, accompanied by a commemorative catalog honoring fallen cadets.

Opening Remarks and Key Messages

Sergey Sergeyevich Anufrienko, Director of the MHD, opened the event by expressing deep respect to the SMO participants and stressing that their efforts ensure peace for present and future generations. He also noted that MHD continues to host initiatives such as the exhibition "Courage. Bravery. Heroism" to support servicemen and honor their sacrifices.

Discussions emphasized the significance of preserving military glory for patriotic education and ensuring that the stories of great Russian commanders, from Nikita Repnin to Mikhail Kutuzov, are passed down to future generations.

Humanitarian and Social Initiatives

Participants heard a presentation from the charity foundation "Preodeley-ka," which supports individuals with musculoskeletal injuries, including those using prosthetics. Its author’s rehabilitation program "Higher School of Movement on the Prosthesis by Evgeny Yelkin" was showcased as a model for helping those affected by mine-explosive injuries during the SMO.

In closing, Berdnikov thanked attendees for their meaningful contributions and confirmed the intention to continue dialogue and support initiatives that preserve military heritage, assist SMO participants and their families, and inspire patriotic spirit through creative projects, poetry, and music.
