POLICE DISMISS ‘MANHOOD THEFT’ CLAIMS IN CHINGOLA.

Police in Chingola, Copperbelt Province, have dismissed allegations against a 61-year-old man who was accused by members of the public of making men’s private parts disappear through suspected charms. The incident happened on March 14, 2026, at Emat Shopping Centre after a 45-year-old man claimed his manhood had vanished shortly after the suspect allegedly tapped him on the shoulder.

The allegation quickly spread in the community, prompting four other men to make similar claims. The situation led to members of the public attacking and beating the suspect, with videos of the incident circulating widely on social media.

Police investigations and voluntary checks later confirmed that none of the complainants had actually lost their private parts. Officers also searched the suspect and found no charms or suspicious items linked to the allegations, leading to his release. Authorities have since urged the public to report such matters to police and avoid taking the law into their own hands.
