NPA CONDUCTS ANTI-GBV AWARENESS PROGRAMME FOR LEARNERS IN LIVINGSTONE

The National Prosecution Authority (NPA) on Friday conducted an anti-gender-based violence sensitisation programme for learners at Tujatane Tongabezi Trust School in the Simonga area of Livingstone to educate them on preventing abuse and staying safe.

During the programme, learners were encouraged to report all forms of gender-based violence to teachers, parents and the police. They were also warned about the dangers of social media and advised to report suspicious online activities to trusted adults.

The NPA also encouraged learners to prioritise their education and assured child abuse survivors of access to counselling, support and witness protection when cases are taken to court.
