Nasser International Participates in the 2025 Pan-African Youth Forum in Djibouti
Nasser International Forum participated in the 2025 Pan-African Youth Forum held in the Republic of Djibouti from 4 to 6 November 2025. The event, organised by the African Union Commission under the theme “From Ambition to Action: Youth as Catalysts for Sustainable Development,” brought together young leaders from across the continent to discuss development, innovation, and leadership within the framework of Africa’s Agenda 2063.
Anthropologist Hassan Ghazaly, founder of the Nasser International Forum, stated that Egypt’s participation in the continental event represents an important step toward strengthening youth integration. He noted that Djibouti holds a symbolic position as a bridge connecting the Arab and African worlds.
Ghazaly added that the participation of the Nasser International Forum in the Pan-African Youth Forum was diverse and reflected the forum’s values of pluralism and cross-border cooperation. The delegation included young people from various backgrounds representing the geographical and cultural regions in which the forum operates.
According to Ghazaly, the Egyptian delegation consisted of Dr. Mohamed Ezz and Engineer Rowan Al-Omda. Delegates also included Engineer Hudhaifa Al-Hassan from Sudan, legal expert Bubba Fatty from The Gambia, and UN activist Malika Elias from Djibouti. He emphasized that this diversity reflects the forum’s commitment to empowering youth from different countries and promoting dialogue and integration across regions through the exchange of expertise on development, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
Engineer Hudhaifa Al-Hassan, Secretary-General of the Arab-African Youth Council and a graduate of the Nasser International Leadership Fellowship, noted that the Arab-African Youth Council organised a panel discussion on the sidelines of the forum titled “The Role of Inclusive Markets and Inclusive Business in Achieving Regional Integration.” The session highlighted the role of Arab and African youth in shaping the continent’s future through building inclusive markets and businesses that promote sustainable development and empower young people economically and socially.
Delegation members stressed during the forum’s sessions the need to shift from individual initiatives to regional cooperation networks capable of creating lasting economic and social impact. They shared views on the opportunities and challenges facing the establishment of inclusive markets in Africa and presented experiences from the Nasser International Forum and the Arab-African Youth Council aimed at building youth capacities and supporting entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
Established in 2019, the Nasser International Forum is a platform dedicated to promoting cooperation in public diplomacy. It includes youth programs and initiatives designed to strengthen cultural exchange and build leadership capacities. Among these initiatives are the Nasser International Leadership Fellowship, the Nasser Youth Movement for Bilateral Relations Development, the National Vanguard School, the Nasser Social Platform (experimental), and the official website. Together, they form a model that integrates thought and practice in preparing young leaders capable of contributing to development and international cooperation.
