Government, BolaBet Sign MoU to Develop Multi-Facility Sports Centre at Heroes Stadium
The Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts has entered into a partnership with BolaBet Zambia to construct a multi-facility sports centre at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
Valued at K1.6 million, the project seeks to boost sports infrastructure and promote youth development through physical fitness and talent identification.
Speaking during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts Elvis Nkandu said the partnership aligns with government’s broader agenda to expand and modernize sports infrastructure across the country.
Mr. Nkandu noted that the initiative will not only enhance the sporting environment but also create opportunities for young people to explore their talents and stay active.
Meanwhile, BolaBet Chief Financial Officer Ray Kumwenda said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to use sport as a driver of national development. He pledged BolaBet’s financial and technical support towards the successful implementation of the project.
The facility will feature a basketball court along with other sporting amenities aimed at nurturing talent and promoting a culture of health and wellness among Zambia’s youth.
