MWINELUBEMBA CALLS FOR PRESERVATION OF PEACE AHEAD OF ELECTIONS

Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba people has praised the prevailing peace in the Bemba Kingdom, calling for continued efforts to protect the stability for future generations.

Speaking at his palace in Mungwi District during a courtesy visit by Zambia Army Commander Lieutenant General Geoffrey Choongo Zyeele, the Mwinelubemba said the peace in the region has been strengthened by cooperation between security wings and local communities.

He thanked Government and the security forces for their support, while Lt Gen Zyeele assured the traditional leader that Zambia Army remains committed to maintaining peace and security as the country heads towards the general elections.
