Man Dies in Suspected Poisoning Incident in Kalingalinga

Police in Lusaka are investigating the suspected poisoning of a 47-year-old man, identified as Moses Daka, who was found dead in Kalingalinga Compound early Sunday morning.
The body was discovered around 06:00 hours near Fipelwa na Lesa shop after area Councillor Mukubesa Nyoni alerted police. Officers who visited the scene found the deceased lying outside a gate with foam and a watery substance coming from his mouth. A bottle labeled “Bloom” and another empty container labeled “Boam”, both suspected to contain poison, were recovered near the body.
Investigations revealed that on August 16, Daka and his family were evicted from their rented residence. While his wife and two children found shelter at a neighbour’s house, he opted to stay with their belongings outside. He was last seen alive around 20:00 hours that evening.
Police say the body has been taken to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) mortuary for a postmortem to determine the cause of death, as investigations continue.
