LMC Scoops 2018 Zambia Chamber of Mines Mine of the Year Award

Lumwana Mining Company has scooped the prestigious 2018 Mine of the Year Award which is hosted by the Zambia Chamber of Mines annually to recognize mining companies in Zambia with best practices in social investment, employment, first aid awareness and local partnerships. LCM has won the award for the second time in a row. The council of the Chamber of Mines has approved the hosting of the event annually in order to provide an opportunity for mining firms and key players in the industry to showcase their achievements, create business linkages and share experiences. Senior government officials, mining executives,suppliers, cooperating partners, civil society and members of the media attended the gala in Ndola at Protea Hotel on Friday 2nd November 2018. The event was graced by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Mines who was the guest of honour.
