LIQUID TELECOM TAKES OVER CEC LIQUID TELECOM

According to ZNBC NEWS.Liquid Telecom has completed the acquisition of remaining 50 percent stake in its Zambian subsidiary, CEC Liquid Telecom from Copperbelt Energy Corporation.
Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka, Liquid Telecom Regional Chief Executive Officer – Southern Africa Wellingtone Makamure said the firm will focus on growing its wholesale, enterprise and retail offering across Zambia.
Mr. Makamure said the company will further invest in its fibre network in Zambia.
He said it will also connect Zambia to Liquid Telecom’s “One Africa” broadband network allowing access to the single largest independent fibre network on the continent.
Liquid Telecom and CEC first entered into the joint venture in 2011 and invested in the rollout of a fibre optic network across Zambia.
