LCC FINES LONGVIEW INVESTMENTS K321,000 FOR HEALTH VIOLATIONS.

The Lusaka City Council (LCC) Fast Track Court has fined Longview Investments Limited K321,000 for breaching public health standards at its Rhodes Park premises in Lusaka.

The fine follows an inspection on 9th October 2025, during which LCC Public Health Inspectors found several violations, including the sale of products labelled in a foreign language, expired goods, liquor in unauthorized packaging, poor food storage, and failure to provide personal protective equipment for workers.

Inspectors also noted that some food handlers had not undergone mandatory medical examinations and observed poor sanitation practices within toilet facilities.The court ruled that failure to pay the fine will attract a prison sentence of not less than two years. LCC has warned businesses to comply with public health laws or face legal action.
