ICC Drop Charges Against Uhuru Kenyata

Prosecutors at the International Criminal Court have withdrawn charges against Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Kenyan leader and his deputy William Ruto were accused of crimes against humanity for inciting post-election violence in 2008,in which more than 1,200 Kenyans were killed on ethnic lines.

The prosecutor's office said it the case does not enough evidence to prove his criminal responsibility beyond reasonable doubt.

Mr Kenyata made history by becoming the first sitting head of state to stand trial, later on stand in the dock, when he personally appeared before International Court of Justice based in the Hague.
