Electoral Commission of Zambia Launches Voter Registration Drive

According to ECZ Corporate Affairs Manager Patricia Luhanga, logistical equipment is also being dispatched to facilitate the smooth execution of the exercise.

The mass voter registration exercise will run from October 13 to November 11, 2025. Individuals who registered online as first-time voters are required to complete physical registration during this period.
The Commission is conducting training sessions for personnel managing the voter registration process across the country.

The ECZ has set an ambitious target to register 3.5 million new voters ahead of the 2026 general election, aiming to increase the total number of registered voters from over 7 million to around 10.5 million. This voter registration exercise is part of the Commission's efforts to ensure a credible and inclusive electoral process.
