Chikwanda commissions K2.6 million housing project for ZRA

GOVERNMENT will next month sign a contract with Leedsfit Holdings Zambia, a property development company, to build 4,000 houses with auxiliary facilities that will transform Kazungula into a new town.

The ancillary facilities will include a healthcare unit, court house, bus station, municipal buildings, fire station, market, secondary school and associated parking.

Kazungula district commissioner Pascalina Musokotwane said this in Kazungula after a Leedsfit team toured the housing project that will have 3,000 residential units for public servants and 1,000 for private individuals.

Leedsfit Holdings Zambia Limited has already signed a memorandum of understanding with Government. The MoU provides for tenants of 1,000 houses to buy them through their monthly rentals.
