Acc Aquits Senior Government Officials, Against Corruption Charges.
ACC has also cleared solicitor General Marsha Muchende of corruption allegations. This was disclosed this morning in Lusaka by ACC Director General Daphne Chabu, during a media briefing who said findings from investigation showed no evidence linking to bribery.
The Director General said Muchende was initially investigating in 2024,overallegations that he obtained US$ 500,00 from former konkola Copper mine (KCM) provisional Liquidator Milingo Lungu.
"Allegations of abuse of authority and suspected bribery were thorough checked ,but no evidence was established linking Mr Muchende to any corrupt transactions", she explained.
The Anti corruption commission also ,confirmed that it has closed corruption cases involving Copperbelt minister Elisha Matambo and Ministry of information and media permanent secretary Thabo Kawaba.
According to Chabu,the commission has received 143 cases between January 2026 and February 19,2026,with 72 being corruption related and 71 non corruption cases.She also clarified that no cabinet minister is currently under investigation by the commission of any corruption charges.
