Kitwe City Council Receives K6 Million for Cash-for-Work Program

Kitwe City Council (KCC) has been allocated K6,015,237.42 from the government for the Cash-for-Work (CFW) program for February. This money will be used to compensate 10,025 participants in the program.
The Cash-for-Work initiative offers temporary job opportunities to members of the community, enabling them to earn an income while providing essential labor for local projects. This assistance helps many individuals and families fulfill their basic needs and enhance their living standards.
To date, KCC has distributed a total of K27,328,943.50 to 45,549 beneficiaries across the five constituencies in Kitwe District. These payments have significantly contributed to improving community welfare and alleviating financial difficulties for those in need.
KCC has pledged to ensure that the funds are distributed quickly and transparently. The Council also highlighted the vital role of the Cash-for-Work program in bettering the lives of residents, particularly in difficult times.
The local authority continues to collaborate closely with the government to ensure the program's success and to provide assistance to those who require it most.
